Mapping Out Minnesota's Working Family Credit

Minnesota’s Working Family Tax Credit encourages and supports work, makes the tax system more equitable, and helps working people across the state to meet their basic needs and get their kids off to a strong start. More than 400,000 households benefit from the Working Family Credit when they file their income taxes. These workers and families live in every corner of our state, as demonstrated by the map below. More than 15 percent of all Greater Minnesota income tax filers receive the Working Family Credit, as do more than 13 percent of all Twin Cities metro area tax filers.
