Minnesota Budget Project Statement on American Community Survey

St. Paul, Minnesota, August 19, 2013 - Minnesota Budget Project Deputy Director Christina Wessel statement on U.S. Census Bureau's American Community Survey released today:

“There are some positive signs for Minnesota in today’s Census report. The number of Minnesotans with health insurance is increasing. That means more families are getting access to quality, affordable health care. We still have a long way to go: the Census found that 420,000 Minnesotans were uninsured last year. The Affordable Care Act creates new opportunities for people to get health insurance beginning next year, so we will see even more Minnesotans with access to affordable health care.”

With your support, we will continue to work towards a future where all Minnesotans have access to opportunity and economic well-being.
